I took my first step aged ten months and two weeks. It is a time in my life that I don’t have any recollection of but my parents will treasure it forever. Seemingly, I was crawling for some time before this and had managed to pull myself up using the side of the coffee table. My mother kept enticing me to move a bit further using my favourite teddy as the incentive. I decided I had enough of this game and that it was my teddy, so I stepped forward to grab “Alfie”. When I had gone about three steps, I realised what I was doing and got a fright and fell down. Luckily, I had a good soft landing. My parents were extremely proud of me and made sure I was up and walking by the following week.
